Biography

Emma Camden was born and educated in the UK before migrating to New Zealand in 1991. Her art glass illustrates the wonderful use of depth and contrast in her sculptures that play with llight. Emma strives at making her forms smooth on the outer surface and textured on the inside using the richly coloured and translucent Gaffer glass.

The hollow cavities are an important part of Emma\'s work which records both the physical and the metaphysical journey across the world.

Emma makes her towers slightly askew to momentarily disturb the viewer as if her pieces were off balance.
